A Fast Contour-Integral Eigensolver for Non-Hermitian Matrices
We present a fast contour-integral eigensolver for finding selected or all the eigenpairs of a non-Hermitian matrix based on a series of analytical and computational techniques, such as the analysis of filter functions, quick and reliable eigenvalue count via low-accuracy matrix approximations, and fast shifted factorization update. The quality of some quadrature rules for approximating a relev...
متن کاملthe comparative impact of prompts and recasts in processing instruction versus meaningful output-based instruction on efl learners’ writing accuracy
the purpose of the present study was to see which one of the two instruction-processing instruction (pi) and meaningful output based instruction (mobi) accompanied with prompt and recast- is more effective on efl learners’ writing accuracy. in order to homogenize the participants in term of language proficiency a preliminary english test (pet) was administrated between 74 intermediate students ...
Accuracy in Contour Drawing
Contouring remains a major application of computer graphics. Contours are typically modelled, rst as conic sections, and then as straight-line approximations to the conics. In this paper, it is shown how the accuracy of this straight-line approximation can be indicated. In addition, a reenement is proposed that yields a better straight-line approximation without major cost overhead.
متن کاملThe Contour Integral Method for Loaded Cracks
An extension of the contour integral method (CIM) for the computation of stress intensity factors for loaded cracks is presented. Numerical solutions of the two-dimensional linear elasticity equations are computed with the p-version of the generalized finite element method. Polynomial enrichment functions as well as enrichment with near crack tip asymptotic expansion are used. The robustness of...
متن کاملA Contour-integral Based Qz Algorithm for Generalized Eigenvalue Problems
Recently, a kind of eigensolvers based on contour integral were developed for computing the eigenvalues inside a given region in the complex plane. The CIRR method is a classic example among this kind of methods. In this paper, we propose a contour-integral based QZ method which is also devoted to computing partial spectrum of generalized eigenvalue problems. Our new method takes advantage of t...
